Dr Wenzhang Chen

Scientific Officer

Wenzhang graduated with a BSc from Anqing Normal University in China in 1999, an MSc from China University of Mining and Technology in 2002 and completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Zhejiang University, China in 2008.  During his PhD research he improved Edman degradation sensitivity to subfemtomole levels by developing a microfluidic chip reactor which he applied to the characterization of proteins. He worked for Beijing genomics institute and Bruker Daltonics (Beijing office) before studying for his Ph.D. After graduating in 2008 he moved to Dundee to take up a scientific officer position in the FingerPrints Proteomics Facility.
