Proteomics Facility Manager

Dougie graduated with a BSc in Science from Dundee College of Technology (now Abertay University) in 1988 and has worked in a wide range of lab environments over the past 20 years including a number of Clinical Research Organisations (Aptuit/Charles River), a transgenic biotechnology company (PPL Therapeutics) and a number of universities including Oxford, Edinburgh and more recently Dundee. He began his proteomics career as a technician in protein chemistry doing Edman sequencing and amino acid analysis at the University of Oxford. He then worked as a scientific officer based in Edinburgh characterising transgenic human therapeutics before moving to Dundee 12 years ago to take up his present position as Proteomics Facility Manager of the FingerPrints Proteomics Facility.
